Comments from Community Members about the NEW and Improved Hall LIFE Report!

The Hall LIFE Report has been used by Hall County School System Student Services many times as a resource for informing and guiding planning for nurses, school social workers, and school counselors.  Many times have I received requests for demographic and incidence data from the media, outside support agencies, and other school systems which is often contained in the Hall LIFE Report.  Moreover, the printed report and on-line data have buttressed the development of requests for grant funding.  I also know that our superintendent has used the information from the report in his work.

I have used the information in the Hall LIFE Report for my needs assessment for the coming year and to tell me what trends in student difficulties we should be focusing on.

I constantly use the Hall LIFE Report for grant writing as well as publications, speeches, etc. that will be disseminated to the community.  I have visited the new website and find it very useful as a quick and easy reference tool.

Gainesville City Schools uses the Hall LIFE Report as we develop our district-wide strategic plan and school improvement plans.  One of our four goals is to increase stakeholder involvement and satisfaction, and this goal involves addressing barriers to learning that our students have encountered.  The Hall LIFE Report gives data for us to plan supports for prevention, intervention, and crisis management in the areas that are barriers to learning.  We also use the data for grant development.  A web-based version makes the data accessible to schools, counselors, social workers, and community agencies, so that it can be better used for collaborative planning, monitoring, and evaluating results of our programs and practices.  Thank you!!

Merrianne Dyer, Superintendent, Gainesville City Schools

I love the website version of the data.  We will use the data as part of our planning in order to more precisely tailor our services to the identified needs of the children and families in our community.  Thanks for a terrific job!
